Very nice cruise

Sail Date: September 01, 2013

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship is in dire need of refurbishing! Some windows had broken seals\, which did not allow for great views (especially on the 14th floor bar). Paint\, curtains\, flooring/carpeting were all very tired looking! On rough seas\, there was a great deal of \"cracking\" in the lounges.

Love the smaller ship and the late night dining\, but limited in choice of restaurant. Our wine steward was not very knowledgeable and/or helpful on our first evening. But that problem was rectified once I spoke to the Master Sommelier.

Pros: The staff

Cons: The ship and food

Recommends Celebrity Century? No.

Ship Quality
Loved that the ship was a smaller one. Decor was not great\, but the ship was clean.
Food and Dining
This is the worst food that I have ever had on a Celebrity Ship! Presentation was sorely lacking in the dining room\, the choice of Restaurants was very limited. The dining room was nice\, but nothing spectacular. Like the option of late dining time.
Cabin / Stateroom
On the positive side\, I found our stateroom and balcony to be wonderful! Lots of storage space\, large balcony\, limited noise from the hallway.
Service and Staff
As always\, the staff were amazing!
This was considered a \"wine cruise\" and we had booked a Napa Valley excursion. We were advised to day before we arrived in San Francisco that it had been cancelled due to lack of participation. It was very disappointing to us. As well\, a few of the excursions were lacking in either timeliness of the busses or confusion as to what was happening. We prebooked all of our excursions an that was very helpful. We expected to receive luggage tags from Celebrity and an information package - but got nothing! Even after phoning twice\, and being assured that the info was on its way\, we have yet to get a package! We were told by other passengers who had received their info package\, that it stated that because this was a wine cruise\, we were allowed to bring 2 bottles of wine onto the ship after excursions. Well\, that did pose a problem for many who were returning to the ship.....
We found the entertainment onboard the ship to be mediocre compared to other cruises.
