What a major disappointment

Sail Date: March 01, 2012

We were so looking forward to ANOTHER Celebrity cruise....wow were we mislead...
The Century is past her prime and should be in dry dock already. Common areas are worn out, paint is peeling and rust is everywhere. Why would they continue to book at top dollar and disappoint guests? We were given a LARGE shipboard credit and told that they had heard this story before....not that they were sorry, just aware of the situation. Too bad and so sad.

Pros: Dinner food and service

Cons: The entire ship is OLDDDDDD!!!

Recommends Celebrity Century? No.

Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Booked a large suite. Worn and dated. Rusted deck wth peeling paint. Filthy chairs that got wet every day when they washed the upper deck.
Service and Staff
Everyone acted like they were brand new, or really wanted to be elsewhere...so did we!! Management just kept apologizing. They knew how bad it was.
Food and Dining
Buffet was awful. Hot food was never even warm. Cold food was luke warm. Dinners in the dining room were quite good with nice variety.
Very marginal entertianers on the ship. Outside acts were OK. Hula instructor was fabulous.
