Celebrity Century Cruise Review to Alaska - Inside Passage

Review SummaryWe sailed on board the Century in July 2011 for a cruise to Alaska. It was a vacation we will not soon forget! We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere on board. If you wanted dance and party the night away, you could. If you wanted a quiet night, you could also have that.
We also really enjoyed the itinerary. The highlight was no doubt the Hubbard Glacier. It was breathtaking, and since it was such a nice day, we got extremely close to it. We even got to see and hear pieces of the glacier crash into the water!
This ship exceeded expectations in many ways! Please see below for details on the individual aspects.
Food and Dining
Our waiters, Ruth and Anthony, were outstanding. The food was delicious and presented very nicely.
We thoroughly enjoyed going to the shows in the theater every night. Three huge production shows, a comedian, a variety night, and even a ventriloquist who was a finalist on America's got talent! There was also lots of entertainment throughout the day in night in the public rooms.
Service and Staff
The officers of the ship were very involved with the passengers which was quite cool.
The only staff we didn't like was the photography staff. They were quite pushy. Nice people, just pushy. If you don't want your photo taken you have to be stern.
Overall, the ship is laid out very nicely. The only confusing part is the very back of the ship since the galley is located there and you have to navigate around it.
The century is a mid sized ship, but even at that rating, is quite big and astonishing to look at from the outside. It was a perfect size for us.
Cabin / Stateroom
Pros: Service, food, entertainment, atmosphere onboard
Cons: Being bombarded to get our picture taken wherever we went
