The ship was clean, well laid out, and had all the typical amenities. Our Vista deck cabin was excellent: we had NO noise problem and could barely feel the engine.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dining was outstanding-best of any cruise. The range of food, quality and presentation, and the attention of the wait staff in the dining room made each meal a pleasure. The cafeteria on deck 11 was of course, not the same, but provided a wide range of food throughout the day.

Service and Staff

You know that you weren't the only passengers they have over the months, but you received attention as if you were. Always pleasant and accommodating. Makes such a difference.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Decor was up-to-date, all facilities were immaculate.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Quiet, clean.

Ports of call

Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala

5 out of 5
Went to Antigua which was a fine old city with a church on each block. Best part? You were left alone to explore and do your own thing. Volcanoes were impressive.

Colon, Panama

3 out of 5
Great Panama City tour was useful, but like most others far to much oriented toward herding travelers to shopping areas. Passengers are perceived as traveling wallets.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

3 out of 5
Was a short visit. Desert, rocks, hill sides with condos, azure ocean, excellent beaches.

Acapulco, Mexico

5 out of 5
Hired a cab that took us all over the place for a very reasonable amount of $40 for 3 hours. You can do this in most ports and if you are even slightly adventurous, this is cheaper and better than organized tours. Saw the crowded old parts of the city with colors and smells you would never find along tourist routes.

Puntarenas, Costa Rica

5 out of 5
Rain forest. The more local tours of the river and train are very touristy and is much better to explore the rain forest.

Cartagena, Colombia

Pros: Overall experience excellent

Cons: Shore excursions
