Did not exceed my expectations

Sail Date: February 10, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Room Type: Oceanview

Though the weather did not cooperate over most of the cruise, it was a nice experience but it did not exceed my expectations. Stateroom attendant was responsive but not exceptional. Dinner the first night was just average but the quality was better during subsequent nights. As a rule, the food and drink servers seemed to have the mindset of just doing a job and had so real passion about the service they were providing. Everything about this cruise was what you would expect but nothing exceeded my expectations.

Because the weather was lousy/rainy, we only spent time going to the shops to buy a few items and then returned to the ship. As a general rule, the merchants were annoying to get you to walk into their establishment. This was especially true with the jewelry stores. This gets old very quickly.
