When Concierge Class Is Not

Sail Date: December 11, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

I am not sure what Concierge class means on this line. It didn't get me preferred boarding or disembarkation. No concierge sought me out to introduce himself.

The drink packages seemed to be a good deal until you tried to get a drink. The number of bartenders and open bars made it difficult to get drinks at times. If you became know to order a drink that was time consuming to make (frozen margarita) the bartender (singular) avoided you.

Pros: Drink Packages

Cons: Room Quality

Recommends Celebrity Century? No.

Food and Dining
It didn't take long for the menus to become monotonous. The lack of specialty restaurants or items was noticeable.
Cabin / Stateroom
It was comparable to a mini suite on other lines, but the fact that it was concierge didn't seem to mean much.
Service and Staff
Much of the staff was friendly, but the bartenders weren't very service oriented particularly once they knew you had unlimited drinks or liked a drink that took time make.
Ship Quality
The ship is getting out dated.
The entertainment was the only thing that I would say was more than average. It was actually pretty good.
George Town, Grand Cayman
A nice town. The locals didn't harass you.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
The vendors and beggars were very aggressive.
