Great First Cruise

Sail Date: April 11, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Inside

This was a great way to get introduced to cruising. I traveled with my mom and her boyfriend who are both over 55 plus a good friend of mine. (we are both in our 30s)

Everything on the boat was perfect, a great size, wonderful cabins, great food in all areas. My only disappointment was that, while I would recommend this boat to any family or couple - there really was no life on the boat after midnight besides the casino.

Pros: Great Boat, Relaxing Atmosphere, Great Food

Cons: No nightlife after Midnight

Recommends Celebrity Century? Yes!

Ocho Rios, Jamaica
We were really not interested in sight seeing on the cruise - it was an opportunity for us to break away from the real world for a while. We didn't want to be rushed to an area and rushed back or spend money on excursions. People that we spoke to found the Celebrity organized activities to be very expensive and those that grabbed their own taxis ran the risk of getting ripped off. We loved being on the boat with less people - we finally got good beds around the pool and still had food at our fingers. Jamaica - we walked up the street, got sick of being asked if we wanted a taxi and got back on the boat.
Don't Miss: Stay on the boat!
George Town, Grand Cayman
Looked in a few shops and got back on the boat.
Don't Miss: Stay on the bot!
