Celebrity Century Cruise Review to Europe - Northern Europe
Review SummaryOf all the cruises we've taken, we enjoyed this one the most. Many factors came together for this experience. Our cruise agent assisted us tremendously in choosing the itinerary and the cabin on board ship and both exceeded expectations. Our cabin was efficient, with more storage space than we used. We adored having a balcony and the little touches of concierge class. Our stateroom attendant was helpful and responsive to our needs and questions. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful - especially when I accidentally left my purse in the cafe! It was returned to me very quickly. Our waitstaff were efficient and helpful. They went out of their way to fulfill our requests for specific items - not just in The Grand restaurant but at the Island Cafes as well. We did not try specialty dining at Murano as we were so pleased with our wait staff, table mates, and menu choices.
We really liked that our itinerary provided a more in depth look at one country, Norway and the Artic Circle, rather than multiple countries. Although we enjoy both options, we were able to enjoy the spectacular scenery, history, and shore excursions in a more leisurely and thorough fashion. The ship's captain added to this experience with some spectacular sailing and navigation through fjords!
The Hemishphere Lounge was a perfect place to read and enjoy all the sights. Evening entertainment was a pleasure each night, although one night was a movie showing which wasn't appealing, especially with a cinema already on board.
This ship and itinerary are worth a second trip!
Pros: Easy access to everything on board, ports of call, onboard services
Cons: Sometimes difficult to exit ship at ports due to tides
