Room Type: Balcony

This ship has recently been remodeled, but the hallways (carpet, cabins doors, etc.) seem to have been neglected. The rest of the ship (lounges, casino, dining rooms, etc.) are all quite lovely. This was a short cruise and we know it is difficult to "turn around" a ship quickly, but we were disappointed to find hair in our shower and a wine cork on our floor, telling us that the cabin was not thoroughly cleaned prior to boarding. When we pointed this out, however, it was cleaned quite well and we were happy. The casino is small, but staff is wonderful. Beware that they allow smoking at the craps table (something we complained about), but we won anyway so we did not complain loudly. Our waiter and his assistant were super and the food was grand. The weather was not the best for this cruise, but they provided umbrellas - thankfully! If you are accustom to larger ships you may be disappointed, but if you like a mid-sized ship then this one may be for you, especially if they finish the remodeling and redo the hallways.

Pros: cabins; food; casino; lounges;lecture

Cons: only one show a night; hallways needed repair

Recommends Celebrity Century? Yes!

Nassau, Bahamas
Atlantis is a must. The straw markets was fun, especially if you have not been to Nassau before. It was a rainy day so we went shopping and some of the deals were very good, especially in light of the fact that tax is not charged.
Don't Miss: Atlantis and the straw market
