Eastern Caribbean cruise from Feb. 23 to Marcy 2, 2002From the moment we got off our bus, embarkation went quickly and smoothly. Boarding wasn't until 2:00, but they let us on earlier and we went directly upstairs to the Islands Cafe where they had coffee and danish waiting for those who just boarded. When we got to our room, we found it very clean and comfortable. We were surprised at all the closet and drawer space, more than enough for the stuff in our four suitcases! Our cabin steward, Anthony, had everything under control in our room. Our room was always clean and tidy and he never missed a beat with providing turned down bed service with candy and a card with the next day's weather report attached to it.He also left us a Celebrity News Letter which informed us of all the activities and goings on the next day.I just can't say enough about the food and service on this ship. We had late seating 8:30pm and we were glad we did because it saved us five pounds each as we were not hungry enough to eat at the late buffets! But boy, were we tempted, what an awesome display of food! (We took pictures!) The food was absolutley 5 star! Juan, our waiter and Atilla, our assistant waiter, were the best! And kudos to our wine steward, Fernando!! Besides us and the two other couples, we were dining with, we couldn't have asked for a better time. The entertainment was also top-notch. The Celebrity dancers and orchestra were superb. The costumes, lighting, etc., were among the best ever. I can't forget to also mention the comedy acts and singers, and what a great performance they gave. What an enjoyable seven days both on and off the ship. We had the quiet time we had set out to have on our anniversary and we had some fun times with new friends we met on the ship. In fact, we enjoyed the ship so much, that we booked another Celebrity cruise "same time next year," with the friends we made aboard! Disembarkation went just as smoothly as getting on.Thank you Dave and Dru, the Cruise Director and Assistant Cruise Director, and everyone else aboard the Century, for a truly wonderful experience that we can't stop talking about!Arleen, Northport, Florida
