A Great First Cruise

Sail Date: April 01, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

An overall great first cruise. Everything clean, organized, and first-class all the way.

Pros: "New" Ship Appeal, Very Modern

Cons: 4 Days Not Enough

Recommends Celebrity Century? Yes!

Ship Quality
$55 Million well spent - not that I saw what it was before, but everything decorated with taste. Lots of modern amenities, artwork, and engineering.
Food and Dining
Food was amazing. On 4 nights, I had New York Sirloin, Filet Mignon, Lamb, and Lobster - not to mention huge variety of desserts, breakfast and lunch buffets offer a wide variety of foods. Room service within minutes at no additional charge is not shabby. Interactive menu is easy to use and your order is always followed up on with a call within 2 minutes to see if anything else is needed.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very clean and the inside typical stateroom - 173 sq ft well used. We had 2 adults and a 5 yr old child and we all fit comfortably.
Service and Staff
I did not find one person from the hundreds of staff members that had an 'attitude'. Everyone was pleasant, always with a smile on their face, and took care of us like VIPs.
Entertainment
Didn't know what to expect and we missed a couple shows, but the dancers were great! The captain was laid back, quite humorous, and the whole activity team was fun. Beware, don't play volleyball for more than 1 hour in the sun or you'll BURN! Trust me!
Children's Programs
Our 5 yr old daugter still can't stop talking about it! Tons of games, activities, PS2, computers, crafts, movies, other activities kept her busy for hours. Gives ample time for adults to enjoy other activities while kids make friends and have the time of their lives for a couple hours giving you peace and quiet!
