Great cruise at a great price!

Sail Date: January 22, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Over a great experience. We booked a balcony stateroom at a great price, and it proved to be a good decision. When we first arrived, the room had the previous guest's speedo still drying in the shower and a suspicious smear inside of the toilet bowl. We thought this was the beginning of a dreadfully kept stateroom. However, all was forgotten from then on. Service was always inmaculate, and food was great. Everyone aboard the ship did their best to accomodate us, and Hugo, our server at the main dining room, went beyond his duties to make us feel like royalty.

Pros: Food, Beds, newly refurbished (it shows), great casino

Cons: a bit of carelessness when cleaning our room, but nothing major

Recommends Celebrity Century? Yes!

Service and Staff
A keen crew, and very effective in getting things done.
Food and Dining
Main dining room meals were top class. The pizza station was always a sure bet (the highest standard). Stay away from the breakfast buffet though.
Cabin / Stateroom
Bed was very comfortable. Cleanliness was an issue when checking in, but then improved dramatically.
Ship Quality
It's like a new ship. More modern than the Infinity I travelled on last year.
Key West, Florida
A walk down the main street is a must, but make sure you try Kermit's Key Lime Pie. It's the original! It's only a short walk from where the ship docks.
Don't Miss: Kermit's Key Lime Pie
George Town, Grand Cayman
Went to a public beach. Nothing much there except some beach furniture. Once you sit on one, a rude guy from the Marriott Courtyard approaches you and tells you you owe $10 for its use. Not much you can do about it.
