Beware of aft staterooms

Sail Date: December 01, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This was our 12th cruise and our 6th cruise line so I consider us pretty experienced cruise travelers. We had the misfortune of being booked in one of the rear staterooms. The vibration we experienced throughout every night was unbearable. It honestly felt like a freight train was coming through our room, items placed on the bedside table would end up in the floor. Every fixture in the room would rattle. We got practacelly no sleep. We didn't even go on an excursion we had paid for because we were so exhausted after 3 nights of no sleep. We insisted on speaking to the head of hotel services and we never heard from him. Guest services didn't seem to care. I will NEVER recommend this ship to anyone!!!

Pros: The entertainment and the food were outstanding

Cons: Vibration and noise in our stateroom

Recommends Celebrity Century? No.
