Review summary

Ok, I started out without any experience in crusing, and chose Celebrity because of reviews of its food and atmosphere. I expected it to be a 35-50 age range, and it was for the most part. There were some smaller children that you hardly noticed, and even some infants onboard. There were some elderly also, and unfortunately some teens that wanted to hang out in the elevators doing nothing (a minor irritation). For the most part, it was the crowd we were looking for. Our table mates at main dining were wonderful, the stateroom surprizingly spacious and comfortable, the staff beyond compare. Entertainment was above average, shopping was ok on board, and everything appeared to be taken care of on time and have I mentioned the food?? Truly a culinary experience you won't soon forget!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Oh my heavens. I have eaten at some of the nicest restaurants in the USA. None of them could possibly compare with both the quality and quantity of food on this ship. Celebrity has my business forever.

Entertainment

The shows we saw were well choreagraphed, and the performers did a good job. Great voices on the singers. They really work their rear ends off.

Service and Staff

Don't go on this boat unless you want to be treated like royalty every single place that you walk.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Older ship, but you wouldn't notice it. Very nice decor, some minor fading of carpet areas. Ship is being refurbished and a new Century will emerge this summer.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Stateroom was an interior, bigger than expected, with enough storage and closet space for 10 suitcases. Bathroom was clean, water pressure excellent.

Ports of call

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Nicer than Cozumel. Very good shopping and they have a central pool area with a swim up bar that sells those 'yard' margaritas. Very nice place to hang out.
Don't Miss: Shopping

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Still recovering from the hurricaine, but some shopping deals can be found. Beaches and water are pretty good. Should go to shore, but don't expect too much right now.

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Spent the day at Margaritaville and down at the beach. You could stay on the ship and won't miss a whole lot. Not as nasty as a lot of people said it would be. Still a poor country. People trying to sell you stuff, including marijuana, but they didn't really hassle you. Some shopping deals can be found.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Best port of call. Very nice area. If you don't swim with and feed the rays, you are missing the best thing to do. After swimming with the rays, we did a short reef dive and pet a nurse shark. Water was a bit rough, but worth it. After that, went to Rum Point and hung out on the beach. Nice Day.
Don't Miss: Stingray City

Pros: Food, Service, Comfort, Staff, did I mention the food??!!

Cons: The only cons were some of the passengers. Teens were around too much.
