"we enjoyed our cruise"

Sail Date: October 21, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The food was good, but I'm a "meat and potatoes" person. They had salads that were not very appetizing to me(on the buffet) but they had plenty of other things to make up for that. We ate in the dining room for most breakfasts and dinners. We were pleasantly surprised - but I would have liked to see an old standby on the menu whereby you could order a steak or chicken regardless of what the rest of the menu provided. The entertainment was as good as any ship we've sailed on and the ship personnel were very good. One of our suitcases got wet because a can leaked and we were called to the purser desk and told of the mishap. They said they would wash and iron any item that needed it(at no cahrge). Nothing in that particular suitcases needed washing. On the next morning, the purser called our room and asked if we needed anything washed. I think this is above and beyond what we expected. We told them that everything was okay and told them we really appreciated their concern.

Pros: The ship left from Jacksonville and it was very easy to get on and off the ship. When it was time to leave the shop, they told the passengers to remain in their cabins until their color was called. This is the first ship we've sailed on that allowed you to remain in the cabin during debarkation!

Cons: It was an older ship but is was clean and the cruise was really fun. We would recommend it to our friends. It was relatively cheap also!

Nassau, Bahamas

Key West, Florida
We wished there was more time in this port
Don't Miss: My wife really enjoyed the chocolate covered key lime pie. We also took a trolly ride and it was very informative.
