Room Type: Oceanview

We enjoyed the ports of call to Key West and Nassau. The only regrets we had was that the time in Key West was too short to fully enjoy the island. The Carnival ship "Celebration" was very clean and the staff more than friendly, but as one of the oldest ships in the fleet, and after cruising on some of Carnival's larger ships, we found there is not enough to do if you are not a sun worshipper. The entertainment was superb and probably the best we have seen of all our cruises ( this was our 9th cruise in 5 years). We would have appreciated being kept more informed of the problems that kept us in port overnight in Nassau. As it happened, we were supposed to leave at 10:00 p.m. but instead did not leave until 4:00 a.m. the next morning. We knew there was a problem with the hot water on the afternoon of our full day in Nassau, but no one could give us a straight answer for the problem. We called the purser's office and maintenance to attempt to resolve the problem, thinking it might be just in our cabin, only to be told by maintenance that there had been a problem earlier but it was fixed ( only it wasn't), and then the purser's office told us they were working on the problem and we should just let the water run a while( which did not work). It turned out to be a problem with the steam pipe!

Pros: the shows by the ship's dancers and band

Cons: our dining time that we could not change.

Key West, Florida
The trolley tour was the best. You see the entire island narrated by a local who is very knowledgable.
Don't Miss: Hemingway house
Nassau, Bahamas
Parliment house, library and historical park were beautiful! The straw market by the waterfront is a waste of time and money. Most of the items sold there are not hand-made on the island. You have to really watch for authentic items.
Don't Miss: Atlantis hotel and island
