Best vacation ever!

Room Type: Inside

This is a smaller ship, older and not as glitzy as others in the fleet, but the staff really do their job keeping eveything in good condition and very clean. It was nice NOT to be on a ship for 3000 guests because there were no long lines for food, no trouble finding seats for shows, etc. Overall, this was a very comfortable and casual ship. Perfect for a family vacation. I've already booked another cruise on the Celebration!

Recommends Celebration (RETIRED) 33? Yes!

Ship Quality
This is an older ship and smaller and not as glitzy as the other Carnival ship I've cruised on, but it is also much more comfortable, no long lines to get food, no problem getting seats for shows, etc.
Cabin / Stateroom
Same Carnival super comfortable beds, pillows and linens. Very clean due to an excellent staff.
Service and Staff
I cannot say enough about the staff on this ship. Everyone was super friendly. Our dining room waiter was so entertaining, yet professional and knowledgeable, super nice and a complete riot. I have requested him for my next cruise.
Food and Dining
Dining room food was excellent and our waiter, Wency, was spot on with his recommendations. Buffet food was the same as other Carnival ships, but everyone can find something to eat. Pizza, calzones (very good) cheeseburgers, ice cream available all the time. Room service food was excellent! And good coffee...which is always hard to find on a cruise ship.
Cruise director Skip is a hoot and everything he is a part of is sure to be a laugh a minute. The singers and dancers were very talented, suprisingly so. Wide variety of activities for everyone.
Key West, Florida
Walk to the southernmost point if only to say you've done it! Excellent prices on parasailing, too. Good time for picking up items you forgot to bring along...a CVS right off the port. Grab a snack and a beer at a sidewalk cafe or bar....it is good for the soul.
Don't Miss: If you've ever wanted to parasail...do it here!
Nassau, Bahamas
Paradise...not hardly. This is a very poor country. Ladies, I won't say why, but you need to visit the straw market. The vendors will definitely bargain with you so don't pay asking price. Men, while the ladies are haggling for bargains, stop at the store on the corner for cheap Coronas or something a little stronger. Rent a scooter and travel the whole island...the good, the bad and the ugly. KFC, BK, MDonalds are here as well as Gucci, Coach, BCBG and other designer shops. But trust me, rent a scooter. The pretty parts are on Paradise Island and you can visit the Atlantis, look around, and use the casino just like guests. They no longer allow public access to their private beach, though. Still very much worth seeing. Beautiful waters but very limited beach access. if you want to snorkel, bring your own gear. Super cheap souveneirs, t-shirts, etc. Interesting place but not what you'll expect.
Don't Miss: Super cheap beer & liquor & ladies....go to the the straw market!
