Review summary

If I could give this ship a thousand stars, I would!! We LOVED the Vista! We cruised with our longtime friends who were first time cruisers and it was their first vacation ever in their 25 years of married life & away from 5 kids! We were in cabin 7263 and it was a great location. We were right by the stairs and hardly had any noise. We were also right above the smoking area on deck 5 but did not smell it or have extra noise. Our balcony was wonderfully quiet & relaxing. The ship has so many places where you can be outside. Our cabin steward, I Nengah, was great! We didn’t see him hardly at all but like a little minion he magically cleaned & prepared our room each day. Deck 5 goes all the way around the ship and was our favorite place on the ship. We loved hanging out at the Red Frog Pub, (ask for Peter and tip him for his upcoming wedding!) playing games, sipping on drinks, (mango madness!!) and being outside. Our friends went to happy hour & karaoke there in the afternoons. We also loved being at the front of the ship where there was hardly anyone. They also had a great breakfast & lunch selection with very few people at the back of deck 5 in the ocean plaza. The captain even took his breakfast there. While there were about 4600 total people on board, it never felt crowded nor did we wait long in lines. We didn’t do a lot of shows (4 teens at home & we were tired!) but really enjoyed the three comedians (PG version) we saw and the final lip sinc battle. The food was pretty good and we loved our wait staff in the MDR. I recommend early dining if you’re 40 and above because it just sticks on the stomach after too long. 😉. Even the lido buffet was good. Jiji’s lasagna at lunch was the best! Gelato is served from 12-1 each sea day on lido by the buffet. We loved the In Demand movies in our room and our internet was great in the room. We went to the IMAX, did the skyride twice, (we went before lunch on sea day and then the afternoon on port day) the ropes course, & water slides. We did have FTTF (out of Galveston) and I recommend getting that. Disembarking & Embarkation went fast & very smoothly. Just follow the rules & be patient. I hope to sail the Vista again!
