Review summary

Expected much more from Vista but it seems the golden age of cruising is a thing of the past. They publish dress standards for the dining rooms but standards are never enforced. People come in wearing whatever they want no matter how dirty, old, or inappropriate. I imagine that the staff has been told not to say anything as it might upset the passenger. Entertainment is third rate and the main production area on this ship is a design failure. Would be hard pressed to make another cruise with Carnival on this ship.

Worst stage shows I have ever experienced. Main theater area is badly designed and impossible to see from some areas of deck 5. Best band on ship was hidden in aft most portion of ship and not easily found.

Staff was friendly and supportive but did not seem very happy with ship..

Ship was always clean but the design of Atrium and Liquid Lounge is the worst I have seen on any ship.

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Do not know why Carnival continues to visit Montego Bay. The port is very dirty and the waters around the dock are loaded with floating debris. The shopping at the terminal are a joke.

This port shows the greatest improvement from any other port. Much money, time, and vision has been incorporated into the port facilities.

Disembarkation

Too many people with too much luggage trying to use the express disembarkation overload the elevators and greatly delay all other passengers.

Sorry to hear this. We’re cruising on the Vista in July. I’ve heard lots of complaints about the show lounge.

I agree the layout is horrible. Such a huge ship and the theater was just a mess. I hated how they moved the punchliner from one venue to another. The casino is too closed off which makes it entirely too smoky to enjoy. The kids had a blast but we aren’t in any hurry to book on that ship again.
