Review summary

Carnival Vista is a great ship. I LOVED our cruise director, Schwartz. I cruised the Vista back in September 2017 out of Miami and he was the BEST ever so I was excited to see him and hear his voice again. Yes, this was my second time on the Carnival Vista and I was not disappointed.

The cabin was nice but the twin beds were very narrow. I fell out of bed. (LOL) Also we was next to a crew workroom and there was some sort of noise but the last night was the worst. The noise literally kept me up all night. I loved the room other than that and our steward was GREAT

Ship tip

Explore the ship! It is huge and there are gems in hidden corners. Try the specialty resturaunts if you can. The experience and the food is worth the extra expense.

We did not book any excursions and there was nothing to do or see when we got off the ship so we got right back on and had a great time onboard

Normally there are no issues but due to a storm in the ocean we were delayed a couple of hours so disembarkation was a long sit and wait process but the Carnival crew kept us entertained and well informed.

We did the same cruise Sept 2017. Schwartz is the best cruise director by far on any of the ships and we just finished our 11th cruise.

I had Schwartz on magic - fantastic CD. He genuinely seems happy to do what he does. I had Matt on vista earlier this year. He was good, just didn’t seem as amazing as people make him out to be. He seemed more into hanging out with his dancer girlfriend than the guests.
