Review summary

For the most part this trip was enjoyable. Did not like the fact we were unable to port in one of the destinations and instead had to port in Cozumel where we had already visited. I believe Carnival should have given us a refund because the main reason for choosing this cruise was to visit Mahogany Bay. Also, did an excursion in Belize that was horrible. The description did not fit the actual excursion and when I brought that to the attention of the excursion crew on board, they did not seem to care. I simply advised them they should not promote this particular excursion because it was horrible. They did not care. We should have been offered a solution. Our waiter was amazing and the Flying Scotsman was the best part of the cruise.

Sallie, pls tell us which excursion you went on that you were unhappy with. We’re cruising to Belize next July. We’re thinking of doing the cave tubing one with lunch.

The ship has no control over where you can port. There are a lot of factors at play, their crews top priority is not to get you to port but to keep you safe.

I can only hope 🙏 they change my Port in Nassau to Cozumel or even Ocho Rios. I know there are others that will feel differently rhouf.

Read your T&C . Ports can be changed with just a reimbursment of port fees. You should have been aware of that before booking.

I’m sorry you had a few bad experiences, but I don’t see you getting a refund for not docking at the port you wanted unless you had an excursion booked. It’s in fine print that you’re never guaranteed to get to all of the ports listed in your original itinerary. 9 times out of 10 they change the itinerary because the conditions at the original port are not deemed safe for guests and are out of their control, and I’d rather them put safety first. You might be able to get accommodated for your Belize excursion if you work with customer service as someone stated earlier.

Call customer service when you get back. They can do more for you than they can onboard. Sometimes they just can’t help Mother Nature but the excursion issue couldn’t probably be addressed .
