Review summary

Carnival Vista is a beautiful ship and I've been super excited for the chance to sail aboard her. I enjoyed several of the new activities like the IMAX theater which I loved, Havana Bar the live music was amazing, Red Frog Pub the fish bowl was delicious, be sure to watch for the happy hour the fish bowl is half price!!! The atrium is beautiful. But I do miss the glass elevators. The electric violin group was phenomenal! The lido deck pool area was way too small with one tiny pool. It was horrific on sea days. I did enjoy the poolside movies we had perfect weather. I enjoyed the water slides this was my first time trying the water slides as a non swimmer I've been terrified but I loved it. I did not like the fact that you had to climb stairs bare foot GROSS. I am investing in pool shoes!!! The skyride did not work at all during our sailing and I was pretty disappointed by that as it was one of the reasons I selected Vista. We were in a interior cabin 8283 and it was nicer than expected as it was my first time opting for a interior room. I actually enjoyed not having a window because I could nap during the day easily. I loved the cabin movies and I watched all the free titles. The food aboard was typical cruise food. I didn't enjoy the main dining room so after the second night we didn't go back. We dined at guys burger or the deli. The night club was fun just way too small and they need to have a bar the liquid lounge does not. I enjoyed the show flick and I missed the other two productions to busy enjoying movies in my cabin. Our only port was Grand Turk and my daughter did the jet ski which was not part of carnival excursions just locally ran she had a blast. We got back on the ship after her hour ride. Not much to do at this port and we didn't want to sit around the crowed pool at margaritaville so we got back on board to use the water slides. Fun fun fun! Overall it's a great ship not my best experience with carnival but I loved my time with my daughter aboard!

Hey CruzeLife. My disappointment with the main dining room during my sailing was due to our orders being either under cooked or bland. The formal night was great the lobster was delicious. So your experience may be amazing!

Great details! I'm so glad to hear about the violin trio. Heard them on the Breeze. Hope they are on our Oct. 14th cruise.

They had to close it or it was super slow because people were walking to the casino bar to get their drinks. I am so glad that skyride is operating for your sailing.

Great review I hope the have the Sky Ride up and work 100% by February cause like you that is one of the reasons I picked her for my next cruise

I will board the Vista on the Oct 28 ( during Halloween) of Galveston ! I am also on the 8 Verandah deck interior room and I can't wait. I am wondering why the sky ride was not operating?? Great review by the way ! Glad you had an awesome cruise! Thank you!
