Review summary

Before getting to the review of the ship let us first say, the crew, staff, fun squad, and camp ocean staff were all amazing. The ship itself is similar in cleanliness and maintenance to all other ships we've sailed on (you wouldnt really notice it was only 2 years old). The ropes course and sky cycles are a nice novelty and the water slide with the inner tubes is super fun. Sports square and the clubhouse were also good but are obviously used hard. The bowling never seemed to be working at at $3/per per game (just five frames) seemed too expensive for what it was. By far the comfiest hangout for us was the Red Frog Pub. Good atmosphere comfortable seating, and fun games. The piano bar was comfortable and the Ocean Plaza space an improvement on similar spaces on other ships. So why only 3 stars. Well we were disappointed in the Liquid Lounge and Atrium spaces. The Atrium awkwardly organized and other ships have a far more impressive and convenient space for activities. The Liquid Lounge was the worst. The seating style is terrible to watch performances especially for kids. There's no elevation gain to allow you to see over the people in front and balcony views are obscured by tinted glass. To make it worse all the chairs are high backed. The only remedy is to get there very early to get a front row seat. A final issue it the lack of tables (and the ones attached to the arms of the folding chairs are all bent) so your left holding your drink. Makes clapping, waving and dancing difficult.

We loved the Vista both times we we're on. But 200% agree that the Liquid Lounge is an epic fail. Whatever PhD thought that up needs a new line of work. The Atrium is kind of neat. But it does lack the wow factor.

What a bang on review! We felt the exact same way about the atrium. The led cone is cool but there is no wow factor when you step on the ship and white parties would be way better in the old Dream class atriums. Liquid Lounge is a colossal failure. What awful venue to try see a show in. The sound is way too loud for how compact the room is and the sight lines almost don't exist. Unfortunately in my opinion, the level of talent and quality of shows they now produce on Carnival have come to match the venues they show them in. Try harder Carnival.
