Review summary

Vista cruise started out bad.  We were given an 11:30 boarding time and did not get on the ship till 2:00 P.M. because of disorganization.  The atrium with new décor was a big disappointment.  The Liquid Lounge seating was awful.  There were no signs indicating where the restrooms were and there were no clocks in pool area and other prominent gathering spots.

That was all the bad features.  Food was very good.  Room steward was good.  The juggler entertainment was excellent.  Entertainers were fine, but music was not to our liking.

Food was excellent.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not enough variety in onboard activities, mostly trivia and bingo.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Enjoyed the juggler more than any other show. Cruise director Matt was excellent.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Mario and Felix were excellent in dining room.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
The new design was awful. But the ship was clean. it had very narrow hallways and decks.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice to have a refrigerator in room, but closet space was lacking.

Ship tip

Bring a watch and get a room in the middle of the ship because of the size of the ship. Lot of walking involved.

We learned last week that fleet-wide, no one will be allowed to board until 1:00pm, even with perks.  FTTF, Diamond, and Platinum will board first, then assisted passengers (wheelchairs, etc.).  We used to get on by 11am if we got to port early, but no longer.  Early boarding kept the crew from completing duties like cleaning up after breakfast and having cabins ready.  There are also tougher inspections now, it seems, that have to be passed while the ship is empty.  Makes sense, and I can wait until they are ready for me to have fun!  On my way to Diamond!!

FTTF is now $70, on the Vista cruise that I am going on in the next couple months, it's sold out in the first few hours which seemed a little unreasonable

It's listed under excursions under the port you board on and sales out quickly. I believe the cost starts at about $50.

How do you get that? Extra fee?

FTTF is faster to the fun, you board earlier and enjoy yourself.

What is FTTF?

That's why people buy FTTF so they can board faster and not wait until it's time to board

Was it an 11:30 boarding time or 11:30 check in time? Usually on your boarding pass it's the check in time that's printed and says something like "Check In Time 11-11:30". The boarding time is usually 12:30-3pm.
