Review summary

My favorite port on this cruise was Aruba.  The best thing about the cruise was that we had Carnival's BEST cruise director Matt.  He is awesome.  The entertainment was excellent! The food was very good, better than on most large ships.  My biggest complaint about this ship is the elimination of a theater.  They have a lounge that converts to a theater which has chairs in the center and no elevation.  Therefore if you want to see a show you have to get in line an hour before the show to get a decent seat.  You can't see in the back and the balcony has many poles which obstruct your view.  The comedy club is the same.  If you want to see a show you have to line up an hour ahead of time.  Bottom line is the entertainment venues and the pools are not large enough to accommodate the number of guests onboard.

My cabin was fine. It was the same as the interior cabin on the breeze. It is small but I don't spend much time in the room.

I agree, Aruba was my favorite port! we did the kukamoo bus and beach and had a great time!!! whatever you do wear sunscreen!!! only 82 degrees and an hour in the sun with SPF 50 and I blistered in areas I missed. all ships do have the entertainment facility issue now but they added more people to this ship and made things smaller, took away the theater...put 2 of the 6 hot tubs in Havana, 2 in serenity, leaving 2 for kids...the liquid lounge is not big enough for the number of people on board for the "shows". I was disappointed. this ship felt enclosed. lines for shows were around by the shops.

Thanks for the review. I'm going in August. We are staying in a Havana balcony so the pool isn't an issue for us but I have read similar complaints about the theatre seating. are the shows worth waiting an hour for? this is our first cruise. where is the best seating if we do wait an hour in line? For our Aruba port we are booking a catamaran snorkel with Aruba watersports for $42 each then we can also rent paddle boards or anything else we want. one stop shopping and the prices are fair. we have to come up with our own transportation but they did give us a name to contact for a ride. we just want to hang out on the beautiful beaches.

What did you do in Aruba? Did you do an excursion? I'm going in May
