A: We are on the Vista now - ending a B2B on Saturday. There are no odors nor is there any other evidence of flood damage from the burst pipe 3 weeks ago. The only problem the Vista has now is that the CD, Savannah, hurt her ankle 2 weeks ago and is una... ble to walk. Consequently, we have had a substitute CD this week, Mikaela. Go ahead and book this ship and enjoy your cruise!See More

A: Yes. It’s in the sports bar not the casino.

A: It sounds like the issue might be which itinerary you are booked for. On the Roatan, Belize, Cozumel itinerary all the ports are relatively close together so it doesn’t appear that they’ve modified the port times at all on the Jamaica, Grand Cayman,... Cozumel itinerary it seems like they shortened port stays after the propulsion issue, likely because they are having to cover greater distances between ports.See More

A: I've seen many comments and speculations; but few facts. The facts I know are: 1) In May, they admitted it had "technical issues affecting the ship’s cruising speed". 2) In late May, they said they brought in specialists to fix the problem. 3) t... hey said it would not be going to dry dock and 4) Since May, they have been shaving off one hour at Jamaica and Cayman and two hours from the stay at CozumelSee More

A: Thanks for the insight. I figured they were just getting by to save money and planned to really fix it in a future dry dock. 🤷‍♂️ We hate to plan an excursion, only to get blindsided by a shortened port visit.

Answered by Luv2Cruise2014 on July 31, 2022

A: I asked a few crew members why the port times were shorter in Cozumel and Grand cayman and they said because the captain said so. I defiantly thinks it’s due to the ship not being able to go as fast there for needing extra time to get to port. We wer... e heading back to Galveston and the Dream caught and passed us. It’s not a major issue but it still sucks that you get a few less hours on certain itinerary’s.See More

A: Getting there is easy with carnival (cheapest) or even Uber. Careful with your return flight if it’s an earlier Saturday flight! We missed ours along with hundreds of others because of an issue with the gangway!
