Review summary

This cruise would have been better if it weren't for the price I paid for a watch. I trusted Carnival to protect their passengers from scammers. Apparently that trust was misplaced.

Food and Dining

Pacific Dining Room

5 out of 5

Great staff.Magician (Suraj) on the last night was INCREDIBLE!

Pizza Pirate

3 out of 5

Pizza quality is OK. Asked for a split of pepperoni and prosciutto, and I was told that they can't split a pizza. This lends to wasted food or overeating because you have to order two pizzas.

Mediterranean Lido Restaurant

4 out of 5

Good selection. Slow lines.

Irish Sea Piano Bar

3 out of 5

Pianist was very talented, but his attitude kind of brought down the mood. He was very nice, but complained about shipboard life.

Onboard Activities

FUNShops are con artists that Carnival allows to operate on board. They have outrageous pricing because you cannot check the prices because there is no internet service unless you pay for it.

The Fun Shops

1 out of 5

If I could give zero stars, I would. You pay a lot of money to go on a cruise. You trust that the cruise line would have the best interests of the passengers in mind. They don't. The Fun Shops have prices that are incredibly high ($800 marked price on a watch that can be purchased for $90 ashore) and there is no way to check if the prices are reasonable. I take it as a lesson learned, but I trusted Carnival to have ethical vendors. They don't.

Water heater was not working when I was there.

Guest Services / Shore Excursions

5 out of 5

The airline lost our luggage. The Guest Services staff gave us a small toiletries kit and a tee shirt to try to help out where they could. Then, when the bags arrived in Nassau at the airport and the airline didn't inform us, the guest services staff noticed that there were bags with carnival tags on them and reached out to the ship to see if there were any passengers with our name. This experience made a bad experience (losing luggage) so much better.

Mini Golf

Good, but needs maintenance.

Piano bar was nice, but the pianist constantly complained about the life of working on a cruise ship. Comedians were good Biggest complaint is that there wasn't enough time to do everything we wanted

Children's Programs

Virtual Sea Video Arcade

3 out of 5

It's an arcade on a ship. The prices for the games will be high. There should be some way of verifying that the user of the card is the owner of the card. A friend's card was stolen and used in the arcade to run up $30 in charges in just a few minutes.

Service and Staff

Bar staff was nice. Took a while to get a drink sometimes Vendors on the ship are allowed to con passengers with incredibly overpriced items. Do NOT buy anything in the shops.

Ship tip

Do NOT buy anything in the shops. The prices are marked up at least 500% compared to the prices on shore. The price marked for a watch that can be purchased for $90 on shore was $800!
