Review summary

Food was basic. Carnival Senation we took last year was better to us. Hurricane Matthew made us change course. It took us 2 and a half hours to wait for customs to clear the entire ship once we got to the Key West port. We were supposed to be off the ship at 11a.m. And didn’t get off the ship until after 1. They only gave us 30 mins extra on the island. Being that we were in the front of the line to get off the boat when customs was done. We didn’t see that they added 30 mins until we returned to the ship at 6 and seen they changed it to 6:30. Activities are basic. Last cruise I had no time to sit down. This time, I caught myself napping. Asking for lemons in the dinning room was just ridiculous. They would say sure, coming up but we never received them but maybe twice out of 4 days and plenty of eating. They just didn’t care. We would ask again and still nothing. Out of 10 I’d give it a 6(maybe 5)

I was on the same cruise and I definitely thought Carnival knocked it out of the park changing the itinerary to make it so much better across the board in light of the hurricane gave us almost a full day in Key West instead of a few hours at the crack of dawn and gave us a full enjoyable day in Cozumel to spend at mr. Sancho's instead of a late-night useless time in Cozumel. They certainly had no control over what customs did in Key West they are not in charge of the United States Customs Service. They made several announcements regarding the extra time in Port while we were still on the ship so not sure why that information didn't make it to you. Also it was great when we got back to Miami the cruise was scheduled to return at 8 and before 8 a.m. we were already on I-95 heading north because of the lack of need to worry about customs. We ordered iced tea with lemons every night in the dining room and they were bought expeditiously. Made our entire cruise. Carnival took the hurricane situation and made lemonade out of those lemons.
