This was my family’s first cruise and we are thrilled that it happened with Carnival! The destinations were perfect for a spring break trip, boarding and getting to room were easy and fast!

I was worried that my 9 year old would not enjoy or even want to go to camp ocean, I was completely wrong! He had a fantastic time and wanted to attend everyday! We did keep him with us for some family time, but when we wanted to enjoy some nights out on the ship, the ease of camp ocean was a life saver.

Our room was a great size, bigger than what I expected.I will say that one thing that upset me was I booked a room to accommodate up yo 4 people. When I called to add my son as the 4th person, they would not allow it staying the kind of room that I had. Therefore he was not able to attend. I feel like the customer service reps were trying to make me purchase another room which to me was not fair. My son didn’t go and missed out on a wonderful memorable family experience.

Ship tip

Make sure you are aware of the gratuities and price of drinks etc on ship. I think that since it as our first cruise I didn’t understand apparently. I would also so say to look for deals, we didn’t get a great deal and I know now that we could have done better. All in all it was a great trip, but I did take away some lessons learned.
