Review summary
First and last time Carnival cruisers....................
Thoroughly enjoyed the staff, my wife are outgoing and friendly and the staff was accommodating and very thoughtful. Shout outs to Bartenders, Surjeet and Eli at the Aft pool bar, Heru and our state room staff and Alberto and Christina at the casino bar. Wonderful team members who met us with huge smiles and always remembered our names, took care of bedding needs and drinks of preference.
Not "So" Shout Outs- We were looking for a different kind of cruise from Carnival. We ate in the dining room the first night, met some wonderful guests and had some good laughs. Dinner was very disappointing, Salmon was dry/ overcooked, my pork chop was a puck, the portions ridiculously small and the black hair that arrived in macaroni and cheese a turn off. We never ate in the dining room again and took our chances on the buffet and satellite food shops. Her dress and my suit stayed in the room, again very disappointing. My wife and I understand a profit from our own company we get it, but in our business we must have customer satisfaction, a hospitality statement second to none and of course, repeat business. Oh well, we feel profit won this game for you/ Carnival.
Secondly, we visited the Serenity Deck which we were told is where the adults go if they require peace and quiet. No pool just hot tubs! Hot tubs in a hot caribbean sun, not very refreshing for an active couple. So, on Tuesday morning we returned from an early walk through Key West and found the aft pool empty with only 4 other couples in the area, Delightful. We were able to swim and talk to others and enjoy the sun, water and company. We realize this was a temporary situation and this lasted all of 2 hours and by noon the pool was overrun by families and children looking to have fun. Theres a water slide, 2 hot tubs and another pool in the center of the ship, right? We have 6 children and 7 grandchildren, so we love kids, but sometimes we like to get away from our own situation. So the remaining question for you is, Why can't adults have a pool for their own and more importantly, why cant adults have a pool of their own like your competition?
Thanks for giving us the chance to provide our feedback. I wonder if Carnival will ever see this response and if not, another shame. Have a great day, Bill and Cindy Confer
