Relaxing and great service but food was bland and not high quality

I love going on cruises and love being able to relax. Carnival gives you some great places to relax and i loved the over 21 yrs old section of the top deck that was very relaxing without kids. As always, the service was wonderful and our bed room was clean and nice. However, the food on this cruise compared to Royal Carribean cruise was very bland and not good, the desserts for the most part were gross except for their melting chocolate cake. The entertainment was a hit or miss. After going on this cruise and Royal Carribean cruise just a couple months before hand I would choose Royal Carribean over Carnival for next time.
