You can't change the weather...

Sail Date: January 23, 2016

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We've sailed Carnival before on short trips and always had a good time despite the weather.  The crew was pleasant and efficient for the most part except for the on-deck "drink of the day" hawkers who were pushy and rude and didn't really "get" the concept that "no, thank you" means just that.  The majority of the other cruisers seemed to be pushy and rude as well, acting as if they were at a particularly rowdy street party, with little civility and few manners- it's just not necessary to drop the "F Bomb" every other word in public areas with small children present...the whole "feeling" was kind-of low class...and I can party with the best of them and not care who you are or where you came from...

Cabin / Stateroom
The room was comfortable enough; we didn't spend much time there anyway. In spite of daily cleanings, the bathroom smelled but I've noticed this on ships before so I chose to ignore it...
Embarkation and Disembarkation
relatively easy, although we were the last ones called to get off the boat; I guess someone has to be.
Ship Quality
Destinations and Excursions
We didn't even get off the boat. I've been to Dunn's River Falls- it's pretty, but it's like an amusement park ride- manmade, crowded
Onboard Activities
Loved the Motown Trivia contest- the whole ship was singing and rockin!
Service and Staff
Bartending staff is uniformly fantastic- everyone else seemed harried and overworked
Food and Dining
The food was ok, not special, although my husband enjoyed the lobster tails...

We were in the center of the ship right near the atrium...always pretty noisy, but easy to get everywhere.
