Review summary

The cruise was great but we were not impressed with the ship, Very cut up design made it very confusing to get certain places, had to take elevator to floor above or below deck you actually wanted to go to and the take steps to where you want to go.. Also hallway by our room was very hot (a/c not working?) and had a moldy, rotten smell..Interior room was clean and slept well with good a/c. Lido deck is VERY busy and does not seem that well set up to handle alot of people at one time...We actually ate at the deli (which was not very busy) most of the time and enjoyed the food. Buffet food was okay when you could get to it...Dining room experience was nice and enjoyed the meals, there were all very good. Shows were good but I would not cruise on this ship again...

Excursion area okay, water beautiful. Otherwise it was very touristy and vendors at the duty free area that you have to walk through to get back to the ship were quite pushy.

The design wasn't an issue. All ships are generally "cut up". Through deck is always the Promenade deck. There are kitchens casinos showrooms pools and other things that do not allow you to "walk through" the other decks. I enjoy the ship as I don't like the super liners. The Victory was just right. Except for the food lines. That I agree with other posters.

I admit it is confusing on cruise ships in general with the kitchen and dining room forcing passengers to go up or down a level to get around.  Most ships are like this, I'm afraid.  I've been confused too, so you are not alone.  Buffets are always crowded and it is hard to find a table unless you go early.  Thanks for the reminder tip.  Although you didn't like the ship, at least the food and shows were good.  I hope that your next cruise meets your expectations.

I loved my cruise on the victory. It was my first ever and was much better than I could ever had imagined
