This was not our first cruise with Carnival and compared to our previous outings with Carnival this felt like a Wal mart Cruise in that it seamed that everything was being done to save as much money as possible by Carnival at our expense. First there is the ship which is a smaller version of the Carnival Glori without the upgrades. The very first day we almost went through the stairs leading up to the upper deck, a fact we did not mention but apparently someone else did because those stairs were closed the rest of the trip for repair. Other than that the ship for the most part was just older and in need of the upgrades the Glory got. The food I thought was good with the exception of the Steak at the formal dinner which tasted horrible. The activities were hap hazard and did not feel well thought out, they seamed designed to just occupy your time with no real aim at entertainment. The Bingo was "horrible" again it was like Wal mart Bingo. They made you think you were playing for between $200-$5000.00 until after you got there, bought your cards and had someone win, then you discovered that instead of playing for say $200.00 you were playing for a percentage, my wife won $35.00 which did not even cover the cost of the tickets. Then there was the obvious and witnessed set up for the pull tabs, I sat and watched Tim take the $1000.00 winning pull tab out of a separate pocket at the very first Bingo and hand it to an older lady who of course won the $1000.00, it was so painfully obvious that it was all just a set up to sell more pull tabs. Donkey for the most part we never saw not even when we debarked which due directly to him was a disaster, he would not tell us what was going on and he made no effort to make sure that the people leaving the boat were in the groups called, in fact when we debarked they had moved our ship from Dock D to G and we were delayed until after Noon debarking at the end of the cruise and not one representative of the ship was there to say goodbye or get off or anything and Donkey would not even respond when asked about the delay, the only time we heard from him was when he was trying to solicit people to friend him on facebook and even then he did not respond to the people asking him why the delay debarking. None of this means I did not have a good time as a whole because I did, our steward Koko was awesome and again the food was good and plenty, but it just felt like a cheap cruise or a wal mart cruise and felt like everything was designed to save Carnival money and get as much money from us as possible. There were no deals on the photos, no cruise give a ways, no raffle for the bar tab, nothing. This was nothing like our Cruise last year aboard the Glory and I don't know if this is the new standard for Carnival or was this really just a discount cruise and not representative of the other cruises. I can say that if this is the new norm for Carnival then I will try another Cruse Company. We loved Jamaica and found Grand Cayman to be stiff and unfriendly. Still after all this we had a good time because we love the adventure, but if your looking for quality on board then this is not the ship for you.

Stingray City is AWESOME!!! The people however were rude and downright hostile because we asked for a Taxi!!
