The experience is good in general. However, there are still lot of rooms for improvement.
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Dining at restaurant was good for the first two nights, then the qualify & selections went down in following night. We and our dining friends had difficulties in choosing what to eat in the last 2 nights as there is nothing interesting on the menu.
Do not like the lunch buffet selections, many deep fried food and the menu is similar everyday.

The dancing & singing shows are old fashion/ outdated.
The game shows and parties are fun.
More fun entertainment & activities in the first few days, nothing much interesting in the last 2 days so we just relaxed and worked out in the gym...
Service and Staff

When we arrived the pier, a staff came to take away our luggage AS SOON AS we jumped off the taxi. we were worried. We didn't see a name tag on his shirt so how do I know he works for carnival and who is taking away my luggage? Also, he explicitly asked for tips,
The staffs are ok friendly in general. However, the staff at the service desk and excursion desk on cruise are not very polite when answering our questions. Maybe it's just language barrier as it seems English is not their first language... For example, when we asked why there is service fee automatically charged to our account, he answered "if you don't pay service fee, who is going to clean your room? who is going to change your towels? etc" It made us feel that he is trying to threaten us. What we were trying to ask was why the service fee is 'automatically' charged, shouldn't we have the option to decide what we want to pay. I'd suggest them to have some training on better customer service skills.

The ship size is just about right for us, as we are first time cruiser. The decor is old fashion but for this price it's acceptable. Public area is clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

Overall it's comfortable. We had bulk bed, the upper bed and lower bed are facing different directions. I'd suggest Carnival to have both beds facing the same direction as the ship, because my partner who slept on upper bed facing different direction complains that he feels dizzy.
