2463 a terrible cabin

Sail Date: October 21, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Apparently our cabin was located above the winch house. The noises began a 5:45 am on docking days. It started as a loud whirring motor noise followed by what sounded like someone dropping an empty 55 gal drum down a flight of concrete stairs. We were told these were normal noises, after 15 cruises I know what normal is. I came on this cruise for rest and relaxation, not to be jolted awake at 5:45am. Our friends in the adjoining cabin has same experience. Apparently the ship was full, told no available cabins to move to.

Pros: Different islands

Cons: Terrible noise from winch house under our cabin at 5:45am most mornings.

Recommends Carnival Victory? No.
