Nice Cruise - SKIP OPEN DINING

Sail Date: January 29, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

Nice cruise. Great port of calls. SKIP open dining that starts 5:45 pm to 8:00pm. We came between 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm and were given a pager where we were seated 45 min to 1 hr later. It didn't matter that there were open tables, 1/2 to 1/3 of the tables wer unoccupied. Food was always served COLD, greasy from sitting around and we were served food that was under cooked which never should have been served. Select either 6:00 pm or 8:00 pm or do buffet.

Pros: PORT OF CALLS

Cons: OPEN DINING

Recommends Carnival Victory? Yes!

Food and Dining
OPEN DINING-took 45 min to 1 hr to be seated after you were paged and then we were served COLD, greasy food. Servers had attitudes. OPEN DINING was a complete mess. DON"T DO OPEN DINING. DO 6:00 or 8:00 pm seating or do Buffet and room service.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Every one was great except for the Open Dining Staff. Skip Open dining and you will enjoy the cruise.
