Getting on the Carnival Victory was no problem. The process was well manned and rehearsed but once on the boat you realized the personal space was going to be limited the next seven days. Ship personnel hard trouble with the english language at best it was a basic understanding. Only two crew members we spoke to knew how to tell us where and when to be on the boat most just pointed. I have been on other cruises where there were willing to guide you through the boat. Guest realatitions were all but that. They were curt with their replies/answers. I have a theory about that... I would act that way if I had to deal with the cruisers all day. The people on the boat couldnt control their tempers or the appetites. More on this later

Pros: Great dinner food

Cons: Onboard crowds

Recommends Carnival Victory? No.

Ship Quality
The size of the ship was great. Very spacious rooms and plenty of walking room up top on the outside decks. The hallways always had mildew smell to them and the elevators smelled pretty bad everyday all day. I thought the first few times that it was a specific individual but I was surprised that it always smelled like body odor.
main singers were very amateur great dance routines and juggling and magic shows
Cabin / Stateroom
perfect. spcaicious. hot water. clean and plenty of storage room
Service and Staff
not helpful. never knew what the events on the ship were or where. One of the crewman was tasked with taking drink orders and dinner and he messed up the drinks three times each time charging us for the johnny walker black label when we ordered vodka or rum drinks. then said he already made them and charged them to the room and was not able to go back and change it... we only odered two drinks from him
Food and Dining
nothing to complain about it here. Dinner was amazing every night
Basseterre, St. Kitts
same old shops owned by carnival (RIP OFF) dont book anything through carnival it is 50 to 70 percent cheaper off the boat. 15 dollar tour of the whole island. crappy beaches very rocky and shelly
Castries, St. Lucia
Dont even get off the boat. Zip line was lame no adventure or scenary. Scary taxi drivers. sketchy people all over the place trying to push their services on you and if you dont want the services the get angry and yell.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
great beach. great taxis, same old shops owned by carnival (RIP OFF)
Don't Miss: Coki Beach
Bridgetown, Barbados
same old shops owned by carnival (RIP OFF) Swam with turtles
Don't Miss: five star turtle cadimaran
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
great beachs, decent shopping not much else to do
