Room Type: Balcony

i took my mom on Carnival Victory for her 60th birthday and we both had a great time. all of the staff were very friendly which made the 7 night cruise feel like home. lunch time has the most varieties of food. ie, sandwich bar and chinese food. however, these were not open for dinner which is my only gripe. it would have been nice to eat these during dinner on occasion. otherwise, the formal dining areas had excellent food. for the best view, get a balcony room directly aft.

Pros: the staff on the ship were very friendly

Cons: limited dining options at dinner time

we hopped on the ferry to go to Nevis, the neighboring island. there we went back to my alma mater to see how the campus looks. we then went on the ferry back to st. kitts and saw a few more medical schools
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
we booked the Private International Shopping Tour purchased through the ShoreExcursionsGroup and operated by Twin Island Adventures. i would not recommend this again. essentially the excursion was a $220 taxi pickup and drop off at two shopping sites only. you can't choose more than 2 sites and you have to follow their availability times not your own.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
we did the beach and shopping excursion through carnival. after a short drive, we spent two hours on the beach and then another short drive and we spent 2 hours in the main shopping area of the island. the beach is so clear and beautiful. you step into the waters just a little bit and you can see schools of fish swim around you from time to time.
