We liked the overall trip. Excursions and the islands visited were great. The Kid Carnival should be more interesting for ages 6 and up, specially when the ship is on port; since most island excursions are not that appropriate and interesting for the age range of 6-11.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food was ok, in the dining area, the food was good-excellent, but not wonderful. Desserts were good, but should be better presented and prepared. For examples, (1) Creme Brulee should be cold except for the top crust. (2) Old Fashioned Apple Pie, should be served warm, instead it was cold. The Regular Cheesecake was very light, it seemed like a diet version.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Shore Excursions on the boat were too pricy compared to what is found directly with the tours. The variety of activities in the ship where repetitive and simple things like the library or board game time was too short with just one hour.
Children's Programs
3 out of 5
Activities for kids were not interesting. For the younger crowd it was difficult for them to make friends because they were too structured. For the tweens and teens the activities were too gender specific instead of focusing on being adventurous to help them break the ice and make new friends.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We had a great staff serving us. Around us others seemed to have bad experiences of forgetful or upset staff. It would be nicer if the staff was more international as with others cruiselines.

Nice layout; but please move or remove the protuding seahorse statues on stairways - most everyone got hurt by them. Our largest souvenirs are the bruises we got everytime we turned on the stairs. We asked and saw lots of people with bruises in the same place and many others agreed the protuding nose of the seahorse is a hazard. It is also obvious when you look at these statues and their noses are very faded.
Same as usual for those that frequent the Caribbean. The Belgian Chocolate Factory is still great. I think the visit was too early in the trip. I think it is best to go directly to Barbados with the first day on he sea.
