Carnival Victory Cruise Review to Caribbean - Southern
Sail Date: February 13, 2011
Ship: Carnival Victory
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Singles/Friends
Reviewed: 7 years ago
Review SummaryOn another note - Unlike the Carnival Pride & Spirit you CAN NOT walk the length of the
ship on the Primary Main Deck without play games like being in the Winchester House.
Victory decks 3 & 4 blocked by Atlantic and Pacific dining rooms - NO THOROUGH-FARE!
Solution was to use deck 2 for best results.
Another note the 4 elevators in the atrium are not synched to the 6 elevators in the adjacent
area. (1 of the 6 was out of service). Elevators would come and go and leave you wondering
what was going on. Carnival Pride & Spirit much better - Victory Thumbs Down !!!
Cabin / Stateroom
Had Major complaint about noise on the deck above my cabin (8327) seems that the hard
wood floor reverberates noise of moving chairs and deck furniture down below to my cabin.
Called pursers desk and filed complaint. They said that they would have someone visit my
cabin and verify the nature of the complaint. Did not have any representative check out this.
Made a visit next day to the pursers desk and spoke with "Romano" about the complaint not
being responsed to. Honest reply they were very busy the first night of the cruise getting
things in order.
Received a telephone message from "Greg" (Assistant Manager) pursers
desk. Did not connect with him but paid another call to Romano - Greg was not available.
Received letter from "Lorelle Carollisen" Guest Services Supervisor - authorizing a change
of stateroom. Paid another call to Romano at the pursers desk and said that would be all
fine - EXCEPT - that I had 3 adjacent cabins - move all 3 ???
Ports of Call
Pros: NOTHING TO NOTE
Cons: WINCHESTER HOUSE DECK ARRANGEMENT
