Nice Criuse Overall but some refinements

Sail Date: April 01, 2010

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Inside

The stateroom structure is somewhat confusing; this person got a inside on mid level deck that was said to be an upgrade, but the elevators make the whole deck location topic rather meaningless. The bars did not appear well used except for one or two, maybe some of that space could be devoted to something else like additioanl buffet meal space. The art and exhibits on board were of interest and better than other on board activities. The boat could have stopped in place so that passengers could marvel at some of the Island landscapes before such were passed by quickly. The theatre plays and performances were welcome but honestly with so little time after excursions one might have to cruise again to take those in. The large swimming pool could be better highlighted with information so that a person would know when it is available and what exactly the pool should be used for ie laps or just enjoyment for short time.

Pros: various ports of call and shore excursions; also the possibilities

Cons: The meals need not be so extravagant (waiters not necessary); that is the Buffet type of meal service could save the Carnival Victory and other Carnival ships both manpower costs and save the consumer a few dollars

Recommends Carnival Victory? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
A separate meal plan for those not needing all the lavash waiters and possible dining extras could save expenses for some travelers.
Cabin / Stateroom
Some of the quality things had to be adjusted. Did not need much space anyway as not in the room except to sleep.
As above some changes could make it better for some travelers.
Service and Staff
Children's Programs
