Cruise to Southern Carribbean was great

Sail Date: May 01, 2010

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Having cruised before with Carnival this ship was dissappointing. Looked like just a few cosmetic changes had been done, and still looked as if it needed much more updating. As we are platinium members we do not need anymore Carnival picture frames. Wish they would change the gifts given to people who have cruised more then 12 times.

Pros: Visiting a different island every day. Very busy week and not much time spent on the ship.

Cons: Ship was refurbished, but still looked old.

Recommends Carnival Victory? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Still can not understand why we are given envelopes to tip the head of the dining room. All he did for us was say hello as we entered the dining room. Our waiter and his helper did all the work and made our dining there enjoyable.
They are the ones who get our tips.
Have seen the same shows on other Carnival ships and the same boring magic show.
Come on Carnival make some changes with your entertainment.
Cabin / Stateroom
Room looked old, but was always clean.
Service and Staff
Wonderful except our room steward sure changed his smiling face and attitude on the morning we were leaving to go home. And we gave him a tip........
