The cruise exceded my expections!

Sail Date: December 30, 2007

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

The food was exceptional, as was the desserts and wine selection. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening entertainment. The cruise staff were quite gracious and fun. The Carnival Victory was a sizeable ship, but not a problem to find your way around. The gym was very well-equipped with machines and a sauna, and was well-needed to work off those extra calories. My family booked 2 ocean-view cabins and we were quite pleased with the layout and size. Daily programs were slipped under our doors so we always knew what activities were available to us.

Pros: The captain and his staff were wonderful. His singing and the waitors dancing made dinner all that much more enjoyable.

Cons: Although it wasn't the cruiseline's fault, the uncooperative weather canceled our plans for 2 out of the 3 ports of calls. Also, the club for 15-17 year olds was not managed well and was rarely opened as planned.

Recommends Carnival Victory? Yes!

Cozumel, Mexico
Tulum! We ate at a local Mexican restaurant nearby that was recommended by our bus driver and found it very overpriced. We're sure that he received a generous share for sending us all there!
Don't Miss: It's an exceptional historic site.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Although we visited Grand Cayman, our tour was cancelled due to inclement weather. Alternatively, we walked around the shops and ate lunch at a restaurant. Not very memorable!
Don't Miss: We wish that we could have swam with the stingrays, as planned.
