Carnival Victory..."WOW"

Sail Date: May 06, 2007

Room Type: Balcony

What an amazing vacation! Carnival has definately stepped up it's game. The staff were all super friendly. Our steward kept everything spotless. The food was great. The ports were awesome. We kept saying during the entire cruise how enjoyable it was! We were pretty impressed this time with Carnival. Never had a bad experience mind you, just a better one this time. We would highly reccomend this ship and itinerary. Was supposed to go to Costa Maya and had to dock at Cozumel instead. Everything was handled great and we enjoyed it just as much. Now for the bad...we booked airfare with Carnivals "Fly Away" program. The buses they contracted (greyhound) were nasty. I felt awful riding in such filth and will never use them for transfers again. My wife had to use the restroom and came right back and decided to wait til we got to the airport because of the filth...it made her ill to see/smell that room on the bus. The drivers and staff beg for tips until you feel you must tip even though the ticket clearly states the tip is included in the transfer. On the ship, if you want to confirm your return flight or print your boarding pass you must pay for internt use. I felt they should allow their "Fly Away" member to do this free with all the money they make on the tickets anyways.

Pros: The Crew,Cleanliness,Food,Ports,

Cons: Not being able to check your return flight with out a fee

George Town, Grand Cayman
Wow the BEACH! Amazing..we were there about 2 hours and I don't think we came out of the water once! The Butterfly Farm was a great excursion.
Don't Miss: Any excursion that takes you to the beach and or in the water at this amazing place.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
We heard alot of bad things about Jamaica prior to going, so our expectations were low. We did notice the Jamaican people are not "Happy" all the time many of whom frowned alot or looked vacant. It's all good Mon cause this Jeep Safari Excursion is a must do here! You will see more of this Island than any other excursion. Imagine traversing the rain forest bouncing around in a Land Rover. Stopping several times to explore the wildlife/fauna and the highest point of the mountains. Stopping at an 1800's plantation house and eating fresh fruiits, drinking rum punches and then capping that off with a trip to Dunn' River Falls. The guides were awesome and really cared about your good time on this trip. The Open Air Land Rover seats 6-8 people so it is also and intimate excursion.

Went to Cozumel instead and was thoroughly enjoyable. We went on the Tulum ruins excursion and was not dissapointed. The day was long and hot but a must see and well worth the money.
