The embarkation went well, because we showed up early and we had our baby daughter in a stroller. It was really nice that they considered this when we embarked, because we surpassed the long lines in order to use the elevators. However, they did not consider this for the disembarkation. We had to get to customs at 7:45 am and we didn't get off for another 4 hours. Overall, the entertainment was okay but needed more variety considering we had three days at sea. The entertainment was basically the same as the last Carnival cruise we took 2 years ago. Ninety percent of the passengers smoked which would drive a non-smoker nuts because there were no non-smoking areas on the ship other than the two sit down restaurants. The ship was beautiful and well maintained. The food service was pretty good. There was so much food it turned you off of eating. It seemed like the only entertainment was eating. My wife and I have nicknamed the the cruise line the "Fat Ships" instead of the Fun Ships. It is definitely a floating buffet. The lines for breakfast on the lido deck were very long everyday. The Chinese restaurant on the lido deck was very good. The staff at the kids club seemed friendly and energetic. Overall, the holiday was a pretty good experience, but we are not sure that we will go on Carnival for our next cruise.
