Loved the ship

Sail Date: April 08, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Pros: The private balcony room

Cons: There were literally 1,200 kids on the Easter week cruise.

Recommends Carnival Victory? Yes!

Ship Quality
The layout is similar to the Carnival Fantasy or Imagination ships, only bigger. It had a waterslide for the kids (or young at heart) and a putt-putt course. The outdoor decks were a little crowded so you better put your towels on a chair before 10:00 am or you might not get a chair.
Food and Dining
The dining room food was wonderful. The lobster, prime rib, shrimp, and steaks were great, and if you hesitated over which meal to choose they would bring you both meals! For dessert you must try the chocolate melting cake!
Cabin / Stateroom
Loved the room. It was spacious for a ship, very clean, and the balcony was great to escape the crowds. Just loved that balcony!
Service and Staff
Very friendly staff.
Entertainment
The shows were nice. We loved the late night comedians.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
This was our favorite.
Don't Miss: Dunns River Falls
George Town, Grand Cayman
Cute town. Great snorkeling. Five cruise ships showed up at the same time, and you must be tendered to port. The wait to be tendered back to the ship was TERRIBLE in 95 degree weather!
Don't Miss: The snowcones while you wait to be tendered back!
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Not much there. Just some shops, a decent pool, and a small beach. Grab some chairs and a bucket of "Sol" beer and it's all good.
