The Victory was a decent ship but needs so overhauling. The pools, all four of them are not large enough to hold all the passengers that the cruise line booked. Coffee was not very good, food was so-so. They need to let up on the amount of times they serve beef. Every night is a bit much!! Their breads were nasty and no selection to speak of. The desserts? Well, we won't get into that. Over all, the staff were friendly and helpful, room steward was great and on the ball. The casino was large but their selection of slot machines was terrible. All the same and the wheels were TIGHT!!! Entertainment was good and Malcom the cruise director was the highlight of the cruise. We did book this cruise because we wanted to go to Costa Rica. Did not make it due to civil unrest in Limon so they sent us to Jamica. Would have prefered to sail around in circles for three days rather than go there. Can't blame that on the cruise lines but come on...Jamica? Had to wait for nearly three hours to board ship in the beginning. Ship was not even in the harbor and getting off was one of the longest waits I have ever had. Finding our luggage was easy and very organized. So, if you are looking for a fun ship, the Victory is one I would reccomend but not if you are looking for a quiet time at sea. People do like to party on this particular line and it goes on pretty much into the night. Oh, and if you book a room under the Bridge deck, be sure to close your drapes at night or you will have security knocking on your door in the wee hours of the mourn telling you that you are interfering with the navigation system. They should tell you these things ahead of time. Will once again do a Carnival cruise but hope the next one is somewhat better.
