This was an Anniversary cruise for us. The staff knew about it and treated us very well!!

Embarkation was smooth and easy! We grabbed our Sail and Sign cards at our room, dropped off bags, and toured the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Redfrog Pub

This place is a little hidden gem of you want to purchase an alcoholic drinks relatively cheap on certain days. There is a drink called the fish bowl that you can get assorted drinks in. On embarkation day and port days at certain times you can get the fish bowl drink for half off! I think normal price is around 24 bucks. Let's just say for 12 bucks it sets the mood nicely 😁

Guy's Burger Joint

Very disappointing this time. The food didn't taste fresh like on previous cruises! Too greasy.

Grand Buffet

Surprisingly really good throughout the cruise. On previous cruises the food started getting kind of bland towards the end of the cruise. Not this one!

The positive is we got our pizza fast. The negative is the quality of pizza was bad. Tasted like cardboard.

BlueIguana Cantina

They serve tacos and burritos. The burritos are better than the tacos 😁

Serenity was not too crowded this cruise. It is definitely a great place to go and relax!

On the Valor Pixels is still old school where you have to find your pictures on a wall. We didn't mind and the staff were all very friendly!

The DJ was excellent. We weren't too impressed with the bands.

Service and Staff

Our room steward was excellent!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The Valor is an older ship. There were signs of maintenance that needed to be done. I do think they need more staff to help keep the ship clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We love balcony cabins on our cruises. This one didn't disappoint!

Ship tip

I would recommend getting a ship map and touring the ship after getting on and before Muster. Not too many people and it gives you an idea of what is on the ship.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

We did the Chef Maestro excursion and it was awesome. We learned how to make authentic food and drink!

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

Wasn't real impressed with this port. You have to take a shuttle about 5 miles into town to see anything. If you like Old Mexico this may be for you.
