Review summary

I would definitely like to cruise again. Next time I think it would be worth buying the drinks package in advance.

Embarkation

Due to fog out at sea, our ship was late arriving into port so we had to wait several hours for the passengers to disembark and for the ship to be ready for us to board. This was an inconvenience but the Carnival crew handled it well and got us boarding as quickly as possible.

The food was very good at the Lincoln Dining Room and the staff were amazing. The waiters were outstanding.

I had an amazing hot stone massage and my husband had the bamboo massage. We were both very happy with our services. My only complaint would be the price. They were very expensive but we knew the price in advance.

Entertainment

The onboard entertainment was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the stage shows - the 70's show and the America Rocks show. The comedians at the comedy club were great, including Andy. The head of entertainment on the ship was Frankie - he did an amazing job. We also enjoyed the karaoke and the quiz games.

Emir in the game room knew my teenagers by name and really connected with my kids.

Service and Staff

I, our room steward was, was incredible. He was always smiling and happy. He greeted us by name each time saw us and he was very attentive to our needs.

We chose an inside cabin. It was very small which we expected but the bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was very good. My only complaint would be that the shampoo and soap in the shower dispensers were awful. Bring your own toiletries for the shower.

Ship tip

If you are traveling with kids/teenagers, don't let your credit card be connected to their room card. I couldn't remember if I had connected my teens to my card and on the first day they tried to use their cards in the Arcade and the cards were denied. I put a $40 credit on each of their cards. They played in the Arcade several times after that. I kept asking them if they had gone through the $40 yet and they said no. On the last day of our cruise, one of my son's came to me in a panic. He had tried to use his card in the Arcade and his card was denied and a message popped up saying that there was a large outstanding balance that needed to be settled. We had to pay $360 in Arcade charges!

Disembarkation

We arrived in port at 8:00AM and we chose to check our luggage, instead of having to keep it with us in the morning. Our group was called to disembark at 10:15AM. The process went very smoothly.
